The use of lighting, the plot, the combination of chaos and peace made it appealing. The director of my favorite movie this spring about Jesus and a Roman soldier talks about working with Sean Bean, Jesus human consciousness, and bringing. Secondly, from a editing/shooting perspective, I considered it very well made. This film provides a unique angle on that and stimulates our thinking in this area. However, the Lord must have grown up from a baby - He must had friends (even bad ones like the ones at the beginning of the film), child-hood confusions, sibling issues (I believe in the Bible, it says the Lord's brothers thought he was mad or didn't quite understood them as He grew up or even during His ministries). Other than that nothing much was disclosed about His life growing up in the Bible, and thus we often not think about it. October 2011 was a slow week for celebrity segments on David Letterman, as infamously troubled Hollywood actress Sean Young made her most recent and possibly final talk show appearance.

However, this film, from a content perspective, first of all, provides a unique perspective - a blank field of Jesus' life between He was born to the age of 12 (mentioned in Luke in a story of Him in the temple talking to elders/rabbis). I love this film so much, and let's faced it, though I respect and encourage every single Christian-themed movie, some of the them are rather plain or not very well made.
